How are Shaka & Co hammocks made?
Our hammocks are entirely handcrafted by skilled artisans in the countryside of Chiang Khong, in northern Thailand.
Each piece is unique and made with care, using a soft yet durable material: acrylic.
We’ve chosen to support authentic, ethical craftsmanship — creating hammocks with soul, built to last.
How to Care for Your Hammock?
Shaka & Co hammocks are 100% handcrafted with a delicate weave. To avoid snags or pulled threads, we recommend removing shoes and jewelry before getting in.
Our hammocks are built to last — they’re naturally resistant to UV rays and moisture, so there’s no need to bring them inside every night. At the end of the season, gently hand wash with mild soap or detergent, let it air dry completely (no tumble dryer!), and store it in its pouch until next time.
A care guide is included in every order, so you’ll have everything you need at hand! 🌿
I already have a hammock stand — will Shaka & Co hammocks be compatible?
For the hammock chair and the single hammock, most likely yes. However, since each stand is different, we recommend sending us its dimensions (distance between the two hanging points and height of the hooks) at hello@shakaandco.com, so we can help you choose the best-fitting model.
The double hammock is longer than most standard models on the market. If you have a large stand, feel free to reach out as well so we can confirm compatibility. 🌞
Are the hammocks covered by a warranty?
Shaka & Co hammocks are not covered by a traditional warranty, except in the case of a manufacturing defect or damage during transport.
In such cases, we are committed to finding a solution (see: Can I return or exchange my hammock?).
Each hammock is 100% handcrafted using a delicate weaving process.

Shipping and returns
Can I offer a hammock as a gift?
Absolutely! If you'd like the package(s) to be delivered directly to the gift recipient, simply enter their full name and address as the shipping address, and your own details as the billing address. ✨
Can I return or exchange my hammock?
Yes, you can return your hammock within 30 days of delivery, provided it is unused and in its original condition. Simply email us at hello@shakaandco.com to initiate the return process.
Exchanges are also possible within 30 days. However, please note that if you request a model currently available on pre-order, the exchange may take longer than usual due to production and delivery times.
